Make Change Count for Schools

About the Program

Make Change Count for Schools began in 2015, when founders Alex Wu and Sohan Subhash were inspired by a program known as Make Change Count, based in downtown San Diego, that collects donations to benefit the homeless using repurposed parking meters. They created Make Change Count for Schools (MCCFS), which today seeks to create an effective and convenient funding platform for local schools that involves active community participation. MCCFS, with help from local sponsors and San Diego-based parking technology company IPS Group, installs repurposed parking meters on school campuses at the administration’s discretion. We at MCCFS hope our program will provide a more creative, sustainable, and hassle-free fundraising option for local schools.

MCCFS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 81-4421119.

Vishnu Subhash

Vishnu Subhash

President

My name is Vishnu Subhash and I am a senior that attends Westview High school. I am an avid student of science as I have taken Advanced Placement classes in courses such as Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science and Psychology. As the Co-President of Science Innovations, a STEM club at Westview, I strive to show others the contribution a subject like science can make in our everyday lives. In my free time I enjoy playing tennis, listening to music, and chatting with my friends. While I am uncertain of what profession I want to devote my life to, I am currently planning to major in the field of chemical engineering or more specifically, material science. I hope for college to be a positive experience where I can explore my interests and build a strong foundation for my future career
